Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.

Hi Emma, so sorry I won't be able to see Lady in the flesh this year, so I am extremely jealous. As Sandra says, I hope you have the chance to take some photographs.
Its not far from me Sandra and Brenda H in terms of mileage but its way out in the countryside up in the windy hill roads of Dunkeld so it could take me about an hour to get there. Perfectly acceptable for a Saturday outing. I'll do my best to take some pix and post them but I'm not great with a camera and only have a Canon Ixus 75 so we'll see how it goes. If nothing else I'll tell you all about what I see and what is really going on. Weatherwise, Sunday looks a little bit better so I'll make my mind up tomorrow evening. One chick on the nest at present.
Emma Peel I will keep my fingers crossed about the weather and hope you can get to LOTL on Sunday. It will be wonderful for you to see Lady, one very special osprey.
Sandra thanks for the pics and I am glad I am not in Wales, I am terrified of storms. We desparately need rain here but it keeps missing us.

Computer gremlins for me today, but thanks for posting pics of todays events. Had to laugh at junior hiding under the nest - reckon that was an ambush for anyone delivering a fish ? LOL

Good evening Lofty sorry you have had computer gremlins. It was really funny to see that chick hiding there and i thought the same, ready to ambush whoever came in with a fish. I agree they do look great all thanks to Lady and Laird's total dedication to them both.

At 8.08pm I posted the following on the LG blog instead of on this LOTL blog by mistake:
"Fish delivery. Bit of a tiddler but the disadvantage of watching this lot is the proximity to the loch means the fish are still very much alive when they are dropped on the nest as this one was. Now of course the fishless chick is most unhappy." Thought I would add it anyway so that you all know there was a feed a little while ago. Thanks very much Brenda H for pointing out my boo boo, Not sure how to delete a post so it will have to remain there as a flaw on the daily update :-)
At present a juvenile is eating on the nest but out of sight of cam 1. Only visible from cam 2.
