Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
I have to go now and d/load some pics for my G/Son.
Bye Annette.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Recorded at about 4.30 pm today - good close up of youngster eating - strength of it's legs and the way it pulls fish apart is incredible.

Sandra, you asked last night if I can tell the youngsters apart - and to be honest their size has levelled out now- so, no - but have gone through past pics on the blog and one has a whiter throat/chest area than the other. Great to see them looking so active today.
Regards
Great clip, Lofty, saw some of it on webcam., but nice to see both chicks on the nest.

Evening all: Very dark on the nest now; can't see a dicky bird - or even an osprey. (Raining at LG...)
Sandra: Didn't see Titch fledge - how typical that you'd been there all day and the sneaky little critter waited until you left to take off! :-)
Somebody has arrived on the nest; not sure who!
And somebody left the nest!
Correction: Somebody is on Lady's perch, visible only on Cam 2 - looks suspiciously like Lady. :-)
Geez guys. I'm fading quickly here so am going to sign off! Sorry I can't stick around longer.
Thanks Annette, sleep well.
Good morning.
Two chick at 6:20 and one has a fish. Terrible weather there!
Chick #2 is calling for food, The other chick has left after eating all of the fish.
