Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
No one at home at present, gone fishing and exploring. Certainly looks a little better today with the wind dropped.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Good morning Sandra and Lynette and thanks for the pics. Not seen anyone on tne nest since I logged in but only the egg that did not hatch which they have just shown a close up of and amazingly it seems to be whole.
I see from the diary they are a little worried about Lady looking tired. Hope she can get more to eat for herself. I really find it hard to watch the chick that really has to struggle to get food and even Lady dare not take a fish away from the greedy chick. It seems that they both had food yesterday with a little left over for Lady. She really does need to build her strength up if she is going to migrate.

One chick at 3:15.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Mam, Dad, or Sibling?
Looking in again and found one on the nest; They certainly are enjoying their newfound freedom.

Hello Sandra thanks for your pics and I don't who it is. Hard enough when they are on the nest but at a distance nearly impossible. The one that was on tne nest was food calling a little while ago but seems to have flown away for the time being.
Lovely pic Lynette.
Thank you to everyone who has been posting and putting pics on here. I haven't been able to look in for a few days. Only the egg on the nest at the moment although the cam has been zooming around the area. No sign of any osps for the time being.
Nobody on the nest at present all quiet.
Chick alone and rather wet. It looks as it has tried some fishing.
