Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Lady flew in at about 3.15pm with a large clump of vegetation, one of the young took an interest and seemed to help her move it round the nest, whilst the other snoozed on totally disinterested.
That settles it, one of the young is obviously female and the other male, heh, !!!!!
Just looked in again to find one of the young up there with mum on the edge of the nest, the other one lower down. What a lovely scene.
Thanks Sandra for some amazing captures, will save one or two of them along with what I've managed to capture. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to post them on this site - not too technical minded or au fait with computer language so not quite sure how to do it apart from the simple copy and paste which doesn't seem to work. Anyway I was getting away from the subject in hand.
Its going to be wonderful to see these two fledge after all the backup that Laird gave Lady when she fell ill, and the amazing recovery she has made.

There's been a fish delivery and they are tucking in.
Teatime is here.

It is sad to think that we may not see her next year. I am surprised she has recovered as well as she has. Who would have thought she would pull through!!
The camera looks as if it is taking black & white pics.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
lol The egg is still there in the middle. It has been rolled around the nest time- after- time :-)
Lady is calling for more fish.
Glorious sight on the nest in the evening sunshine. Lady is on one side of the nest feeding the chicks and the Laird is on the other side eating a fish too. Lovely to see them all together. Hope Lady will get to eat herself as well.
