Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Cirrus I must have dreamt that. Shows how much I am thinking about her. Lady still sitting up and seemingly alert while she sits with her chicks.

I've just got home and come on here to find Lady valiantly and very clearly shielding her chicks from the sun: it brought a lump to my throat, as only yesterday we were willing her to go before suffering too badly... I saw her this morning moving about the nest and actually standing up on her legs and feet which is something I would never have thought possible yesterday. As the official blog says, we must be cautious now as until she has something to eat she will be dehydrated and weak. Go, Lady, Go! you can do it, girl!
Hi Lindybird and Lady is simply amazing but she has to eat now and hopefully her instinct to survive so far will make her do that today. She is clearly shettering her chicks a natural instinct coming to the fore again. I am just full of admiration for her even though I know the outcome is so uncertain now.
I just want someone reporting having actually SEEN her fed or feeding.
Cirrus the Laird came in with a fish but was feeding the chicks and one of them was actually helping itself. Lady just does not seem at all interested in eating unfortunately.
Oh dear, Marglbird
Oh dear, Margobird
Just logged on again to see Lady virtually standing and sheltering her chicks. One has now moved over.but she has her wing over the other one. So touching.

I agree, Margobird, and isn't it heartwarming to see this today after the trauma of yesterday. Long way to go but you never know, maybe she will come through.
Cirrus just been reading the blog again and someone said they saw her take a couple of bites of fish earlier this morning. there is another post at 10.29 where another person thinks she saw the same. Can only hope that was the case.
