Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Apologies not needed Margobird and are certainly not requested !!!
Does anyone know if Lady has had any fish today please?
Heron 77 thanks for your lovely reply to me. I did eventually stop looking yesterday as was unable to contain my grief. Today I realise from other posts, espcially yours, that these magnificent opsreys to have an inbuilt dedication to their chicks and do eveyrthing they can so ensure their survival.
Margobird
Cirrus good morning and thanks for that. Someone on LOtL blog said she had a couple of mouths of fish earlier.
Lady is looking a little more alert now and the chicks are moving on the nest. She is looking round, probably wondering if Laird has gone fishing and will bring in another one.
Just stood up and had a wing flap, still unsteady on her feet though.

I don't think she has Cirrus but today the change is remarkable compared with yesterday when we all thought it was the end, as did the Team at SWT too. She still has a long way to go but lets hope as each hour goes by improvement will last. At least she is flapping those wings more and getting a little more exercise although her legs are weak. We can only hope and pray for a greater improvement .
I've read all the LoTL's posts for 21st Margobird - no mention of Lady eating, sorry.
Sorry Cirrus I am wondering if it was a post on yesterday's blog. As I type Lady is standing up flapping her wings and looking upwards. Just looked again and she is really having a good flap of her wings. Still amazed to see how she is today.
Looking at Lady, she seems to be shielding the chicks from the sun with her wings but they're not too bothered about that. Maybe she is just stretching them.
No, Margobird- sorry again, Lady definitely didn't eat yesterday. We need to keep positive that she'll have a morsel today.
Have to go and do other things so will catch up later.
Leaving Lady and chicks alert, Lady looking round at the moment.
