Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Short Stuff eating again at LOtL but just Lady I think the chicks are just so full they cannot eat another morsel even though Lady is offering it to them.

Are there really still only TWO chicks? What's happened to egg three please?? It will be SO behind the other two now!!
It looks to me as if Lady has abandoned the third egg - she doesn't seem interested in incubating it at the moment!

Think you are right Cirrus but we must be pleased that she has 2 very, very healthy chicks who are being so well fed.
Oh I am, I am. I'm just wondering why if that's the case . Cos the egg must have had a chick in it, if you see what I mean ... I wonder if LoTL team will mention anything about it. Lady and Laird seem the ideal 'couple' now, don't they - he works so hard for his family.
Lovely family scene:

At present, Lady has her back to us and is sitting and brooding. The weather seems iffy and presumably she is trying to keep warm herself as well as the chicks.

Before signing off for the night, Lady is having a preen and looking around. Night vision is now on.
Settling down I think for the night now.
Another day and it looks peaceful here. Lady brooding the chicks, don't know whether the Laird has been with food yet. It looks as if the rain has stopped and it is dry, perhaps someone can confirm.
Unfortunately the camera at LG is down again.
Lady has just taken a comfort break. Both chicks were tangled together, One was trying to preen itself. Now they are asking for food. and sibling rivalry has broken out but not for long. She is having a preen and watching her young very proudly.
