Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.

Hi Sandy, he's lovely isn't he. Are you getting live pictures. At the moment I don't seem to be able to.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Just gone back to site and its come up so am on air - whew!!!
Those 2 chicks sure look healthy and well fed. I have a feeling the 3rd egg wont hatch now but if it does the little one will have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks Sandy and Lynette for the wonderful pics of one wonderful little family. I can hardly believe how quickly they are growing. The loving scenes on the nest are just so touching. The Laird was there when I first looked but I think Lady has sent him out to fish. although it looks likely that the 3rd egg will not hatch I am just so grateful there are 2 really strong, healthy chicks.
Margobird

Lady is calling like mad, either its an intruder or she wants more fish. By the way she was looking upwards it could be an intruder.
Lynette. Yes I am taking live pictures as it is happening :-)
Frank still keeps bringing sticks in, there will not be room for any of them soon lol
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

are we calling him Frank now and not the Laird, I'm getting confused.
Marge is trying to tidy the nest whilst the little ones are sleeping.
