Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Catching up on posts and thank you Alan for your clips they are wonderful. I pick up clips with a programme I have but don't seem to be able to transfer it and the stills so at least I've got something to look at.
LG camera still down but glad this one is working.

Lovely family scene:
Sandy we are certainly getting good pictures this year and this little family are just wonderful. Love the way the male is looking at his chicks.

One way to get the better of your sibling at feeding time - get them in a headlock!
The two chicks seem really healthy - unsurprising given the surfeit of fish the male is bringing in. I'm afraid to say that it would be slightly surprising if the third one hatches now. I wonder if one of the male's lengthy absences during incubation may have caused the least developed egg to become too chilled.

I think you may be correct Tiger about the third egg. We must be grateful that we do have 2 very healthy chicks and I was watching that last feed and had to laugh at the headlock - I think it was the youngest whodid it as well. They are now tucked under Lady for the night as darkness falls. What a wonderful evening I have had watching them, much better than anything on the TV.
All seems well at LOLT
Super pictures Sandy. I captured one of the Laird in tree through MySnap3 programme.
Awww Bless! Frank is feeding Marge at 5:50am. It looks so loving!
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
And now Marge is feeding the chicks at 5:55. Beautiful!!
And 6:02am, Frank is back in his tree.
