As soon as the first chick hatches she probably won't share with Odin anymore. She will keep all of the fish he brings for the chicks.
The way she us fidgeting I think the first chick will hatch by Thursday

Even though it was obviously an unexpectedly quick exit from Odin because of an intruder EJ was close enough to get back to the nest in under a minute. She did look like she was taken by surprise though:
She then had a bit of a battle with a couple of recalcitrant sticks before she settled down:
Brenda I watched that little episode and as Sandy says there must have been an intruder as Odin would not normally leave the eggs until EJ returns, fortunately she must have been quite close and got back to those precious eggs.
Talking of hatching I think Friday will be the day tye first chick hatches out.

I didn't mean to give the impression that I was worried about EJ returning. That is why I mentioned that EJ returned in such a short space of time. Now if we were talking about the LotL nest, that would be a different story.
Brenda EJ looks absolutely stunning in the setting sun and she also seems to be fidgeting a lot, wonder if there is going to be a hatch soon even though I have predicted Friday.
The male at LoTL left the nest before Lady returned yet again, I do hope those eggs are going to be OK. She must despair of him.
Just to say goodnight all. EJ all settled on the nest looking lovely and for a change now wind at all. Lady at LotL now back on the nest and all quiet there too.
You could be right Margo. David did say that the hatching can be a couple of days before or after. He says Friday night / Saturday morning, so take two days off and you get tomorrow night / Thursday morning.
It is a worry for LotL as he doesn't seem to be the most reliable partner. I did have a quiet laugh to myself, when he was referred to as Frank Spencer on the blog.
EJ has just gone for a fly around.
Odin is now on the eggs.
EJ flies off with a chirp and shortly afterwards Odin flies in looking slightly startled. He inspects the eggs, gets rid off the stick that EJ had a fight with, and settles on the eggs.

Thanks everyone. I couldn't work out how the switch over worked when I was fast forwarding through. So now I know. He did do his "intruder chirp" and was off!
