Looking at the site at Rutland Water. Female having a turn of the eggs and now settling down again. Lovely and calm there as it is here in Northants.
Would be nice to do a diary for the MantonBay (Rutland) as update on other nests now takes ages to get to the end and update.
Do they have names for these two at MantonBay. Please note I have changed the name to Manton Bay (Rutland) nest updates as a suggestion from Sandy. Hope this meets with everyones approval.

Having not looked in for a while, I see that all three are still around.
Super shot Sandy, what a magnificent picture.
Lets hope they set off today or very soon, autumn is creeping up on us.

Great news Sandy. I knew they were keeping quiet about the number of nests.
Good morning Sandy is wonderful news that 12 osprey chicks were reared this year by 5 pairs.

Thanks for spotting this, I remember them announcing the non publicised nests at a similar time last year, the delayed announcement is even more understandable in view of the disappearance of 32(05) & 06(00)
Last years total was 9 fledged from 4 nests (3 from 2 in 2008) so it's good to see an increase especially with the disappearances. I wonder if 30(05) is nesting again?

Interesting news that 30 (05) is paired off with 08 (01) who is of course her uncle. So is the Scottish female DE (05) or not?

Just looked in. Glad to see that it was a very successful year for the MB ospreys. Lets hope that they all survive and come back to England at some stage.
