Looking at the site at Rutland Water. Female having a turn of the eggs and now settling down again. Lovely and calm there as it is here in Northants.
Would be nice to do a diary for the MantonBay (Rutland) as update on other nests now takes ages to get to the end and update.
Do they have names for these two at MantonBay. Please note I have changed the name to Manton Bay (Rutland) nest updates as a suggestion from Sandy. Hope this meets with everyones approval.

Just looked in again, picture breaking up or blurred I think because of the wind. One was having a wing stretch when I looked in. All three together with this wind.
Wow, just been watching one of the chicks feeding itself at the back of the nest. Mum twice tried to grab the fish away and the chick viciously fought her off, nearly having her off the nest at one point. That is one feisty youngster.

RW have reported on Twitter, that the chicks at Manton Bay have been ringed:
"New blue rings on the Manton Bay chicks this morning- 29(10), 30(10) and 31(10). Definitely two males, one slightly undecided".
Thanks SueC for that info.
RW have published an article in "Osprey Observer" about osprey spotting on one of the cruises. I hope they perform when I go at the end of the month!
