Good grief. How did it get to be April 28 already?!
All quiet on the nest right now; EJ seems to be snoozing.
Alan - brilliant video ... perhaps EJ has found the answer to ejecting Odin from the eggs ... hit him with a stick :))

What would we do without the great videos Alan and Gary and others produce for our delight !! So many thanks for this one Alan. EJ has a good strategy going here LoL.
My thanks also to Alan for the video- she was multi tasking, I think. Glad to see that they are not as wet there as was forecast earlier.
My goodness - that was horrendous - the wind almost blew EJ away !!! She had to take hold of nesting material with her beak !!!!!!!!! Of course she can fly - but the eggs etc and well, it just looked so awful. She's turned herself around now taking the wind broadside. When will the weather just do the birds a favour and BE ON THEIR SIDE
Hi everyone, just logged on today, late I know but been out. It certainly sounds very windy up at LG and just watching EJ then, she was blown off her eggs. Now changed position and seems a bit calmer. Will look at the video Alan. I have quite a collection now in my rspb folder. Apart from being windy it looks dry. Chaffinch or some other bird chirping in the background.
Just watched the clip - great isn't it.

Well at least EJ seems to be holding her own. Lets hope the weather improves in the next day or two. That chaffinch is certainly having a sing - on one note more or less. It looks windy at LOtL as well but Marj seems to be fine and alert.
Morning all: Oh dear, sounds like the wind has been a problem. Thanks for LOTL news Margobird - also not so good news about the eagles. Trying to play catch up here with paper work, etc.; back later.
The bird tweeting away now, is not a chaffinch. Does anyone know what it is? Blackcaps tend to tweet on one note but I don't think this is a Blackcap. I notice that EJ has slowly been using the moss Odin brought and weaving it in to the nest cup edge. Hopefully, keeping it windproof. !!
EJ patiently waiting, and wondering to herself "what is that dratted bird with only one note....."
Very nice pic Lindybird. Yes, I'm sure EJ would like to give the little song bird a new song :)
Well, I'm in uniform and have to go to work and there's been no second fish. If one of you could report a fish deiivery for me to pick up at 10. 20 pm or so I'd be very very grateful. And if we ( :) ) could possibly have a video of the event I shall be over the moon. :) :) :) but no pressure !!
