I think I will start MAY, 2016 quite simply with a current snippet of the LOCH GARTEN NEST with EJ quietly incubating her three eggs.
Just now a very good view of the cup and its contents, although picture blurry, as EJ tended to then settled on her chick and eggs. Although I still could not be positive it seemed most likely that there is still only one bobblehead. The one chick was clearly visible and a beautiful little babe he is. Now two days old, he is moving about quite well, eating with good coordination, etc.
I didn't try to get a picture as I wanted to watch and I can't do both.
Surely, if you haven't already, you will want to read this article from Facebook and watch his astonishing video. www.dyfiospreyproject.com/.../clarach-part-ii

This link just takes you to the article. Scroll down to the picture with the triangle, then click it. The unusual behavior is well worth the effort, in my opinion.

Osprey are not the only birds in breeding season just now. What a strange nest these flamingos have.
Hello June I have not seen the video but will watch when im home. Strange behaviour from Clarach and Mrs G. Very interesting blog from Emyr. We just do not know really what to expect from ospreys. We are discovering things about them all the time and I think that goes for all birds :)
Rainat Loch Garten nest. Still no Chick #2.
Chick #1 hatched May 14th in the early hours of the morning, so is now well over well over 3 days old and still Chick # 2 has not made his appearance.
I will be watching as much as I can during the night and hope for positive news tomorrow.
The first egg was laid 4-7-16 8pm, second was 4-10-16 10;20pm. Three days between being laid.
