A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Hi Patily
Morning Everyone and thank you ALL for all the updates.
Maya feeding the chicks just now. They are really growing and notice the eldest pairs' heads have darkened. Looks like they have little caps on :-)

Maya broods the chicks. 33 arrives for the left over fish and then takes off with it
33 returns with the fish and Maya feeds the chicks again
33 arrives and all pose for a lovely family photo :-)
And spoiled with an aggressive attack. #3 quickly gets itself down out of harms way but #1 and #2 battle a bit! All over quickly and they are all in a heap! Then Maya starts feeding the aggressive chick, the other two in submissive pose
#3 soon gets itself up and round for some fish :-)

Quite a dominate chick but at least it is not affecting feeding as all the chicks are getting their share.

Maya is feeding herself
Thanks, Everyone, for all the pics and posts. Very helpful since I cannot watch all day!
Kind regards, Ann
