A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
33 waits patiently
33 has flown with the fish
Morning all, thanks for all the early updates.
33 must have returned and dropped of the fish as there is a large chunk beside Maya - plenty top ups for the little ones today:-)

Good morning everyone. Blue 33 looks like he is setting up a fish stall, what a good fisherman he is.
Good morning all. Thanks for updates and pictures. Lovely nest full of leftover fish. No one will starve. :-)

Morning Jane lol - no worries here about food - 33 has proved himself to be an excellent provider.
As NOC said, more usual for the female to feed but some have like Monty and I've also seen Yellow 80 at Caerlaverock feed the chicks and I suppose there will be others.
So I wonder if 33 will try this year? He certainly is more relaxed and around more this year. We'll see :-)
