A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
Just put recording gear on now in the light of latest news!

Oh Wendy, so I take it you didn't trust my instincts ROTFL :-)))
I'm going out soon - Flying Scotsman is travelling up to Waverley so I want to see it so fantastic you are recording :-)
33 has arrived with a fish and for a look
So for the first feed and Bobble facing the wrong way :-))

2 Chicks
The 2nd chick has hatched ... I can see it at the back :-))))
While #1 was getting some food , #2 was at the back. I am laughing here as I had typed the above and never pressed the reply button !
After feeding chick 1 fell over backwards awww
Blue 33 brought in a fish to the nest, Maya had her back to the cam, so whether she was feeding herself or the chicks I am unsure. Blue 33 flew off, and I think Maya then fed the chicks. Short and sweet, she is now settling down. One large feather is moulting.

What a fantastic day as we know now that #1 was OK.
Two hatches in the one day (plus EJs). Great. I just hope #3 hatches soon so there is not too much of a gap.
So Flying Scotsman now and my day is complete. Happy Viewing - BFN

Just got me as I close down Wendy ...
Yes it has hatched ... look back to the feed and you will see it at the back. Quite clear when #1 was feeding.
And I know you are busy so don't apologise - nothing to be sorry about. If you have got it - great if not, it doesn't matter.
Hope your baby bird is ok.
Now switching off .... bye
