A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

Maya returns quickly and snuggles down on the eggs. She seemed to pay more attention to one in front. But I do not know what egg is #1. Still can't see any movement, pips or cracks.
Karen. I think that egg #1 is the one on the right.

This is a capture I took on 5 April of #1 .. does this help?
I think perhaps the one in front but not sure.
While I was egg hunting :-D 33 arrived with a stick!
Fumbled about and Maya took off. 33 is now incubating.
Maya has returned, wing flap which shifted 33 off the eggs and she has settled. Not a good view of the eggs.
Latest blog .... patience is a virtue
33 arrives and I'm sure I saw him pulling her wing but anyway he gets her off the eggs and they both have a look :-)
