A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

All quiet and wet on the nest.
I have to go and won't be online till tomorrow morning, sigh. Life getting in the way of osprey-watch... bye all.
Bye Noc and who knows, it could very well be tomorrow :-)
Maya rises, wing flaps to shake of the water, checks the eggs and settles back down again.
Maya flat out sheltering the eggs.
Cam zoomed in and we can see the water on Maya

Poor bird, just when is this going to pass over.
My goodness it is wet there. I am an hour away and although I have a very grey sky it has at last stopped raining, but very damp
