A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing

Maya has just risen, had a good flap of the wings to shake off the water, a check of the eggs and then back down
Good Morning ALL
Well today is the day of official hatch watch, and what a day it looks to be. I hope the little hatchling decides to stay put for a few days yet.
Certainly no sunrise this morning :-)

Good Morning all Hope there isn't a hatch today
Good Morning ... as Mary has said today is the 37th day. Will we see a hatch?
According to the forecast it is to clear up around 10am - lets hope so.
33 has just arrived on the nest with a fish
Maya was a bit reluctant to get up but after a minute she did, took the fish and flew off with it
33 approaches the eggs and quickly settles down on them
