A new month and lots to look forward to as we eagerly await these precious eggs which Maya and Blue 33(11) have devotedly protected, hatch!
For anyone new and just starting to watch the Rutland Manton Bay Webcam, here is a brief summary of the 2016 season so far:
The resident female, Maya returned 21 March. Her mate Blue 33(11) returned 27 March. Maya has laid three eggs, #1 on 4 April, #2 on 7 April and #3 on 10 April. Maya and 33(11) are currently sharing incubating duties and we should see a hatch around the second week in May.
Happy viewing
28(10) Also known as Wonky Wing due to a deformity/injury in early life.
Birdies LG DU update.

Hi Starling - just saw your post as I was closing down. You should have left it :-)
And thanks for the info about him being the first male back - I'd forgotten that :-) I think we all have a soft spot for him with that wonky wing of his but it doesn't seem to bother him.
I must go now LOL BFN
Many thanks Karen and Starling. Get so mixed up with the numbers and dates. Really pleased that he is doing well. I felt really sorry when he was seen off by Blue33.
Yes I remember the Wonky wing and doesnt seem to have any effect on him.
Thanks, Karen, for the new thread and the summary and thanks to Everyone for the captures and comments. 33 does make me laugh, with his sticks and his regularly snuggling down beside Maya, and I agree that it is great that 28(10) has a nest and a mate again this year. Very sad that 03(97) and his mate (who are Blue 33's parents) did not return to Rutland's site B, but their nest is apparently now occupied by another pair.
Kind regards, Ann
33 appeared a few moments ago and settled down alongside Maya. That lasted for 20 seconds before he got up, preened a bit, decided he wasn't going to get a chance to incubate and flew off!
Returns from the Lax Hill direction clutching a lump of material in his left talon. Shoves up against Maya who stays stock still so he settles to join her!.

Snap Mike! Are you having any trouble posting? It is taking me ages to post anything and how I am duplicating / late just now. I type and nothing, then few seconds later .. my words appear. Just awful.
LOL 33 is in his element now :-D He has remained sitting beside Maya and she has just got up and flown off. 33 was straight up, checking then turning the eggs, then a wiggle and is snuggled down
what a happy osprey he is :-D
