Yesterday - a cold, fishless day with a couple of intrusions, not serious.
I have written to Jess asking for info on the possible fish on the 27th, when EJ morphed into Odin with no intervening time.
Tonight has been very quiet, with EJ alternating between tucked-in and flat-headed sleep:
A couple of wake-ups to check noises that I couldn't hear:
But no flaps or fly-abouts yet - I've checked twice. Empty stomach, no poop to expel?
Precipitation of some kind, pre 0200hr:
IMAGICAT
Awake:
Hiccup and change of tone to the humbuzz and I think we've lost sound.
Good Morning Scylla and All.
Thank You for the intro and overnight captures.
I see EJ is on a snowy nest, I must admit I thought there would have been more snow there, as I know of one female who will be covered in much more snow this morning.
I wonder if this cruel snap of weather this week will have an effect on the nests, as I seem to recall one previous year, I think maybe 2012 when the weather caused a lot of nest failures, I think it was later in the season though when chicks were hatched and the weather caused the lack of fish.

Good morning MC and Mary
Birdies LG DU update.
I'm afraid (?!) we didn't lose sound - I've crashed !!! Unrecoverable, so far.
Oh, blimey:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Hope you get yourself sorted Scylla.
I spoke too soon, the blizzard is obviously working its way up the country, but more to the east, as Lowes is free of snow.
Poor EJ has been dumped upon and she is not the only one.
Good morning, all. Mary, I think you're correct in saying 2012 was a bad year weather-wise, both in Scotland and Wales. That was the year EJ and Odin lost their third chick, and at Dyfi only Ceulan survived.
The scene at present. Recent snowfall.
Lovely to watch the sun coming up, I hope it melts EJs snowy cushion soon. She waits patiently as the birds start to call.
