It was wonderful to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return much earlier this year. Maya arrived back on the 21 March and 33(11) on 27 March .
Since arriving back Maya and 33 have reestablished their partnership and are busy preparing their nest to hold these precious eggs which we so eagerly await.
Maya laid her eggs after 9 days last year so we could see eggs anytime from 6 April.
I've managed to get recording set up, hoping to catch something useful. But it doesn't look good, with this scene currently frozen on my screen since lord knows when:
IMAGICAT
Maya just moved, but I couldn't see in the cup.

Scylla - really good of you to try but don't go out of your way as you cover so many of the other nests and we all know you have major problems trying to record here! So don't worry about it and if you do manage to get anything - it's a bonus and who knows you may just get lucky with "a" special moment :-))
When I last saw 33 arrive, Maya looked straight at his feet which I am beginning to read as her being hungry. So I hope 33 is now away fishing!
I'm not sure Maya is too happy about 33 using her to stand on :)
Hi Jane .. no, Maya does not look happy one bit! Managed to get a capture!
33 wants to incubate!! Maya flaps her wings in annoyance then takes off. 33 moves towards the egg
And now settled

Maya stands to the side of the nest. A little break from incubating or I think I saw 33 fly overhead a little while ago so perhaps he has a fish! .
11:11 . no fish :-( Maya returns to incubate
11:13 33 arrives with a stick however drops that and moves towards the egg.
Maya flies off and 33 now takes over incubating.
off now, hopefully there will be another egg when I get back SYL
