It was wonderful to see both Maya and Blue 33(11) return much earlier this year. Maya arrived back on the 21 March and 33(11) on 27 March .
Since arriving back Maya and 33 have reestablished their partnership and are busy preparing their nest to hold these precious eggs which we so eagerly await.
Maya laid her eggs after 9 days last year so we could see eggs anytime from 6 April.
2 minutes later they mate.

33 flew off and Maya did a funny wing shudder before
settling down
33 now flown. Maya settles and as she does so her chest is right against that clod of earth which is going to be a nuisance for viewing unless it gets moved. Hopefully 33 has gone fishing.
Birdies LG DU update.
can't say that I saw the egg
Good morning Patilly.
33 is back already and Maya has flown and 33 settles on the egg

Patilly it is in your photo and in Mary's and mine on the previous page All you can see is a tiny strip of light colour at the top of and to the extreme right of that clod of grass.
Morning all - thanks for all the earlier updates and captures and no second egg yet! Surely today ?? :-)
Maya incubating. 33 standing on the rim.

It is only about 61 hours since the first egg was laid. So it is mid morning that is the earliest we could reasonably expect another egg. More likely to arrive this evening.
