The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Hi Patily. Good to see you.
Birdies LG DU update.

Over the last half hour, Maya and 33 have been on and off the nest, some nesting material brought in and mating.
ENS just now but I'm sure they're not far away.
Nice close up of Maya - VC just zoomed in.

Maya has now flown off with it and 33 flew off behind her. Now ENS
Strange!! Maya returns and I can't see any fish in her talons and is wiping her beak or fiddling with sticks.
It did look small for the fish we are used to seeing from 33! Perhaps it was a small stick 33 brought in? Maya has now flown off again.
Mating
Camera down again. Millisecond view of night cam before Error.
