The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
Oh dear that did not take long, and here we go again for another year Doh!!

Good morning Kate. I suspect it won't last long either!
Birdies LG DU update.
Morning Kate & Mike ... Just hope they don't get too comfy! One just flown in and having a sit down as I type.
Morning All - Oh Dear Maya is not going to be happy when she sees them LOL....

EG still there. If Maya could see this she would be flapping her wings at a rate of knots to get here faster :-)

Mary, I have been watching it off/on as I work and laughing when it gets defensive as if this is its nest and look at that familiar stance!! I wonder if it thinks it's an osprey LOL
Its still there and settled down Karen. I think I remember a few years ago they put something in the nest to deter them :-)
Another foggy start.. I wonder if this is the same pair? why do they not remember from year to year, that it can only end in sadness..
That's exactly what I was thinking yesterday SunnyKate2.
