The purpose of this thread is to record observations, activity and captures of Rutland’s Manton Bay nest throughout the season.
The nest at Manton Bay has been in use since 2007 and its history can be found here.
I am sure I speak for us all in wishing Maya and Blue 33(11) a safe journey home and for another successful season at Manton Bay.
The latest blog suggests that the osprey centre will be open on 12 March, and the camera will go on stream that day too.
"The live cameras on the Manton Bay nest will be online again on the 12th March (the day we open)"

Thanks, Karen for the new thread. Not long now....

Interesting as a temp measure, but what do you do when the osprey return?

I'm assuming they've got a plan, SHEILA ;-)
Ah ha. Of course, a plan LOL
Rutland have just tweeted a lovely photo of Maya with a link to her story.

A lovely read while we await her return
Team must be working on / testing out the camera just now and got a quick look at the nest :-)))

I see the nest is all stripped back ready for Maya and Blue 33. I'm sure Blue 33 will find plenty sticks and have it built up in no time :-D
