Good evening/morning, all. Annette is enjoying her anniversary celebration, I hope, so I thought I'd give her a break and start this thread for her.
LG nest is still dark. EJ is resting easy on the eggs. I can't see whether EJ is asleep. No sign of Odin.
Marge appears to be sleeping at Loch of the Lowes. The LotL Diary says that the male there is very "keen to incubate", and he has been sitting on the eggs for as long as 2 hours at a time. The staff thinks that Marge is off fishing for herself during these times. The male there seems to have a preference for pike when he fishes. The earliest hatching date for the 3 Loch of the Lowes chicks would be May 18 and the latest is May 28, according to the diary.
Still dark at LG. EJ is fully asleep. Looks like the weather may be getting bad.
Hey Diane: Thank you for starting the thread! EJ seems to have woken up. Thanks for the LOTL news; glad the male has got into the swing of things.
Starting to get light at LG.
Hey, Annette. Hope you had a nice dinner. I'm alternately watching EJ, Marge, the Barn Owl Trust female, and the spectacled bears (see chat thread). And I'm doing dishes. LOL
Hey Diane: I just checked the Speckled Bear (never heard of them). I saw one bear who looked like he/she was asleep with his/her chin on a ledge. EJ just got up and flapped about - did you see?
Yup. I think the weather must be awful there, or maybe it's just the light at this stage, but it looks like it's raining or sleeting.
EJ has been interested in something over her left shoulder (do birds have shoulders?) for the last 10 minutes.
OK. Color at LG.
Hi Annette that is the direction Odin usually flies in to the nest with a fish . Maybe he is gone and she is checking to see if he went fishing this early
Although lately he seems to prefer 10 a.m fishing LOL

Hey Barbara Jean: She's going to get a stiff neck soon.
