HAPPY NEW WEEK and HAPPY NEW MONTH!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Only 48 more days until the Spring Equinox!

Stop the cull of beavers this time in Scotland. What is the matter with these moronic farmers?.
OG - I just googled it although thought I'd heard of it before. My back hair was obviously long enough, they just need enough to get hold of and knot or twist together in some way. And nimble fingers!! Probably folk in olden days did things like that, it does make sense I suppose.
WENDY Hope everything is ok overnight and that the weather calms down tomorrow to enable the tree to be felled. we certainly will not be walking in the woods until the wind has subsided. Benson let us off the hook today. Twice he was put on the lead to go for a walk and twice he sat down and refused. He is now looking half the dog he was yesterday, but doesn't seem to be feeling it cold.
I rang the dentist at a minute before 0800 and they offered me an appt at 0820. We actually arrived 5 minutes early as there was hardly any other traffic around. I was in the chair for over half an hour, but I am afraid it is another sob story. There is not much actual tooth left so the filling may not last very long, then it is up to me whether to keep replacing the filling or just have an extraction. It would seem a crown isn't viable.....maybe another implant!!!!
Didnlib it's blowing a hoolie but as the guys are on speed dial I am not stressed at all.
Daisy and I got 2 windows of opportunity so she is well chilled tonight. As you know EBT s don't have much of a coat and no way will she wear one so she just sucks in her cheeks and goes for it...
She has been here nearly 4 years so accepting this is it.
Hygienist tomorrow forgot as not turned calendar over.. Yuk!!
Think it may be an implant, DIBNLIB from what you are saying not much choice,:-(
Heather: I'm so sorry about your head injury. I hope it heals quickly. Sending you good energy. Be sure to rest!
OG: Hope Winter Storm Henry dissipates and you don't have any travel troubles. I know you want to get your treatments finished.
Wendy: I hope your tree can be felled safely and you don't lose power. Sounds like a dangerous situation, what with the running burn, too.
I hope all of you in the north will be safe as Henry hits tonight!
dibnlib: Sorry about the need for dental work. :-(
Lynette: I hope your eye condition improves. Feel better.
Hi to Lindy, Brenda, and Rosy.
Margo: I hope your transfusion helps you greatly!
Hi, Annette. I'm sure that you're watching the election coverage tonight. !
Stay safe, all.
Evening all: Huge eucalyptus tree came down in the gym parking lot last night. Damaged a brick wall next to the kiddies playground - but that was it. Ghastly to think what might have happened if it had been during the day.... About 10 more - very tall - stand on one side of the parking lot and I've often wondered about their stability in a windstorm coz they have shallow roots. A second one came down today in Montecito - again no real damage.
Wendyb: Hope the tree problem is sorted with as little trouble as possible.
Heather: Just in from dinner with friends. Their daughter is now working at the US Embassy in London and one of her boys cut his head somehow. Our friend reported that the cut had been glued and had never heard of such a thing, so I told her about your experience and the knots in your hair.
Diane: Managed to avoid the election coverage tonight (dinner at friends' house), but see that Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucus and that Hillary and Bernie are in a dead heat. And to think, we have how many more months to go?
dinblib: Oh bummer about your tooth. Sounds expensive!
Take care all - especially those of you in the path of the storms.
Good Morning. Thinking of Margo, hope all goes well with your transfusion today.
Another noisy night, but nothing like “up north”- only problem was having to sleep with the window closed – tried opening it about 3:00am, but there were huge gusts of wind so closed it again! Looks a reasonable day today, and no traffic disruption around here.
Wendy – I hope you had a reasonable night – hope to hear from you later today that they will have felled the tree – then the argument about who owns the timber, I suppose!
Annette – pleased the eucalyptus didn’t harm anyone, especially on the playground!
Margo – thinking of you, as always.
Everyone – have a good and safe day!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
