  • LOL Wendy. You have still made a great home for Daisy. She would never leave you now.

  • And she will never leave us..

But if daughters circumstances changed she might..

Luckily I don't think they will as she loves 24/7.

I am away for 2 weeks soon away with my girls.

OH will be working from home and is only comment on my absence was could I get our lovely Friday dog walker in more days. All sorted and a happy Daisy.

  • Evening all:

Brenda: Not a hectic day really; it helped I had it all planned out so even had time for lunch in the garden, then planted the grewia I bought the other day.  What a pain about the gate! Can you stick a brick under the wheels?

Lindybird: Oh that Bonnie! Your poor OH.

Temps here are supposed to be above normal for the next week. Ugh.I see another storm is heading Diane's way...with more cold temps. :-(

  • Annette: The current storm models are showing that I'll get only a couple inches of snow early next week. The nights will be fairly cold, but it could be worse this time of year. Thanks for caring, dearie. I'm glad you found a good home for your beloved truck.

Lindy: Bonnie is a very persistent and innovative little dog. I should take a lesson from her in my own life. LOL

Lynette: I hope you're feeling better. I'm sorry that your OH must have treatment for his ear.

Brenda: I keep forgetting to tell you that I think Ruby is a very cute little dog. You can send her to me. :-) Sorry about all the noise at your house. Here in the U.S. someone would call the police. We don't have your patience or civility. :-)

Hope none of you have any damage from the gales.

Hope OG is getting some good rest.

Margo: I so hope you enjoyed the show!

  • Good Morning.  Misty & damp here.

Terrible earthquake in Taiwan - most people were asleep.

Hope that Margo is now full of memories of enjoyment of the show last night: Joe Brown is such a good entertainer, I can't see her being disappointed.

Hope too, that Brenda and her OH are rested after getting some sleep.  We had ages of being woken early by workmen next door, when the house was renovated, but at least it was quiet at night!

Forecast of rain here, all day, so will do some food shopping and then have another go at the curtains :-(

  • Good Morning ALL. The gales haven't  quite arrived here yet. Windy and cloudy at the moment. OH managed to restrict the gate moving so much last night, but sheets of corrugated metal started moving around the site, which could be dangerous when the real gales arrive.  Nobody has arrived at the site yet. We did manage to sleep though, as the wind became lighter.

I would think Margo will need to rest this morning, after last night's show.  She is having a meal out with her sister and family today, so I hope that will be a success.

  • Good morning all from a very tired but extremely happy me. Joe Brown gig was magnificent as always. Such an entertainer with a great sense of humour. His band are top rate musicians and they gel together so well. For over 2 hours I forgot illness and although I did not dance, my feet tapped through the whole performance. So sorry when the end of the show comes. On a real high when we came home and didn't go to bed until just after 12.00. Going out again for a family meal so will definitely need a nap at some stage. We were really lucky with parking as we managed to park in the theatre car park which meant we didn't get wet at all as it was raining yet again. His sone has just formed  band of his own playing blue grass music and we have booked to go and see them in May at another local theatre. As I said no dancing standing up but sang along with just about everything as I know the words which is more than can be said about today's pop music.

When we came home Billie was in her usual place on the bedroom windowsill looking out for us. We often wonder how long she has been she has been there. We get a wonderful greeting from her and all she wants to do is have a fuss made of her, lots of purring and talking from her. We think she is probably telling us off for leaving her. We will have the same performance when we come home tonight but it won't be as late as we have booked a table for 5.00. Hopefully I will stay awake.

Having a haircut this afternoon and it looks as though it is going to be rather wet and very windy. Typically it is nearly always wet and windy when I have my hair done.

Linda I think you should rename Boonie as the female version of Houdini. She always seems to be one step ahead of you.

Brenda pleased you did get some sleep but with the promised gales you must be rather worried that the noise will become worse.

diane to know you will not have the worst of the storm. Do keep warm and I hope you are feeling better.

Lynette pleased you are feeling better now.

Annette so glad your truck has gone to a good home.

Heather hope you are feeling a little better.

OH out doing the shopping but will be back shortly when the least I can do is help him out it away.

Have a good weekend all and take care.

    Margo x

  • Fantastic Margo. So pleased you had such a fabulous evening with Joe Brown. Do enjoy your family meal. Afraid your hair may become very windswept today, but as my Mother used to say, " run between the rain drops, " although the rain is forecast to be very heavy. Also very pleased that you have booked to see a show in May. I haven't heard any of Joe Brown's son's band, but I will go on line to see what I can find. X

  • Pleased to say that workman has been to put proper blocks under the site gate wheels. The wind is getting stronger now, so hopefully we have no problems tonight.

  • Brenda I think Joe Brown's son will still tour with his father as well as his own band. A very talented musician in his own right but he has had a wonderful teacher in his father.

still no rain here but very windy.
