HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's chat thread is here.
I saw R. T. Hawk on Thursday. It's been so cold here that I had to put the battery charger on my car for a long while. I went out as the sun was setting to remove it. R. T. screeched at me when I went out the front door. When I closed the car bonnet/hood, he screamed at me loudly and flew around his tree. I think he was telling me off for disturbing him when it was time to roost in his tree. He called more gently when I went indoors. :-)))
Everyone have a wonderful week. Roll on spring!!!

Back from the Wonderful concert! The other two pieces were Beethoven's Egmont Overture and his Violin Concerto in D Major; Pinchas Zuckerman conducting and soloist. Lovely evening.
I'm so pleased you had a good time, Annette.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good Morning.
Sounds just wonderful, Annette. Did you go with your OH? Glad you enjoyed it.
Limpy - Well done on noticing that big eyes were watching you! Lovely pics!
We are awake because the dog barked early today. She was very pleased to see our Eldest on Monday evening. He loves dogs but I doubt if they'll ever have one of their own.
We're hoping to go out today for lunch. It's dry and cloudy, but still rather cold.Warmer temps predicted for Friday.
Meant to say, Annette, thanks for the reference Glenn Frey: interesting stuff. So many unforgettable songs!
This is the song I'll always remember Glenn Frey for:
The Heat Is On
Clare: I remember that one, and also Smuggler's Blues from that same era of his solo career. It always reminds me of vacationing in Florida. (We weren't smuggling, just spending nights on our small boat on the Gulf of Mexico. LOL My then-husband and I would see small planes come in low and land in the bush.)
Sounds fun, Diane!
Diane & Clare - My favourites are "Take it to the Limit", "Desperado" - oh, and of course "Hotel California" ---- all sublime.
Lindy: Me, too! I love "Desperado".
Annette: Here's the corner in Winslow, Arizona. :-))) Glad you have your reservations booked. I hope you have a great time!
No Lindybird - Im not the best photographer, also it was way too cold to keep taking my gloves off. I think I will have invest in some thermals as I want to be out and about as much as possible in this wonderful county of Suffolk.
Just had to share a 'silly' from my daily newspaper this morning. The topic was slow service from one of our major companies. The remark was 'they responded with the speed of a slug on Valium'. I've never heard that one before.
