HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's chat thread is here.
I saw R. T. Hawk on Thursday. It's been so cold here that I had to put the battery charger on my car for a long while. I went out as the sun was setting to remove it. R. T. screeched at me when I went out the front door. When I closed the car bonnet/hood, he screamed at me loudly and flew around his tree. I think he was telling me off for disturbing him when it was time to roost in his tree. He called more gently when I went indoors. :-)))
Everyone have a wonderful week. Roll on spring!!!

We I am back from Minsmere and have just about thawed out. Great to meet Clare and have a chat. It was a brilliant guided walk, about 3 hours but well worth it as we saw lots of great birds and a seal! Right at the end a fabulous flock of Siskens - must have been about 30 of them in the tree right above our heads. It was bright but below freezing so Im staying put this afternoon. If anyone else is close enough I can heartily recommend Minsmere!
It was great to meet you too! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your visit.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks Clare - I will be there again soon I'm sure. Just checking out the footpaths from Leiston and Sizwell beach.
So who is a fan of blackbirds? Click on this lovely female to see more:

Great shots Clare. There's no accounting for taste when it comes to an ice bath! What's the B&W bird on the Minsemere thread?
Good evening! Feeling very much better today, and had my treatment. However, I am not halfway through after all! Oncologist informed me that I am to have 5 extra boost sessions at the end. I asked why her colleague hadn’t told me that, and she got quite uppity about herself being the consultant. Anyway, I signed to accept. She also adjusted some of my angles to make extra effort to avoid my heart and is arranging an echocardiogram as she thinks I may have pericarditis. So she wants me to take daily anti-inflammatories (rather than trying to leave them out occasionally to reduce gastric risk) so I shall have to take omeprazole daily too! The change of angles meant longer on the couch today, while measurements, adjustments and X-rays had to be repeated, but the team were very good, despite this going into their lunchbreak. The senior radiographer also copied some of the information from my notes so I could research it myself. I had begun booking some of my other routine medical appointments for after treatment, so now have to reorganise those following the extra sessions – but I am still trying to avoid stress! O what fun - not!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG- what a palaver, but my Canadian relatives have ALWAYS said that it is good to research things yourself. My sister in law in Toronto worked as PA to a doctor and her boss always respected,understood and expected that her patients would want to find out as much as possible about their condition.
Remember the adage- 'What is the difference between God and a doctor? Answer, God doesn't think he's a doctor'. May be a bit old fashioned these days, but.....

And this one is a great spotted woodpecker:
I'm not sure which one you meant so I thought I'd do both of them!!
OG- You've had quite a day! In fact, quite a few days. Not easy to be calm when so much is happening. Perhaps now things will get onto an even keel and I hope you will feel better. {HUGS}
