HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat Thread is here.
I posted a long list of replies at the end of last week's thread.
Saturday night in the U.S. and Sunday morning in the U.K. is the New Moon (the dark moon) -- the first one of 2016. See here for a list of monthly astronomical events for this year.
Wow, is it dreary here! So I'm inserting a colourful flower for this week's pic. :-) Everyone have a wonderful week.

Wonderful, AQ!!
We are all fine thank you, Brenda. My toe has calmed down a lot after several days of tlc - I trimmed all the others today within an inch of their lives, and resolved to keep close eye that it won't happen again. My ankle is better, too, so I'm really pleased.
The sun has come out here nicely, though it's forecast for more rain again later today: the fields of wheat we can see at the rear of our house are more like paddy fields now, with the spears of green in troughs of water after rain all night for days now :-(
Still having to think which day we are on, it's been like that ever since Christmas, when we seemed to have about three Sundays in a row!!
Looking forward to seeing what captures Clare may have made today!!
Linda, Pleased that your toe and ankle are feeling so much better. I wouldn't mind some of that Rio heat. For a short while, anyhow. Even if it doesn't last, it is lovely to see the sun shining at the moment.
AQ, Hope the cooler temperatures last a while for you. Is OH having a hot meal ? LOL
Hi Brenda: Hope your OH got on OK at the Dentist.
Have been looking at my photos and trying to delete the ones already sorted out (know that doesn't make much sense but never mind.....). Hoping to get the ones not dealt with yet finally onto discs, today, so that I can put them on here and show my Malta pics.
This is an experiment.Things have changed on our laptop and I am not sure how to save from laptop anymore.
This was posted by a friend and I replied that we were going to a hotel with Benson at the end of the month and that we had been there with him twice before and hadn't let him down yet.
dibnlib: Cute!
AQ: Do hope those cooler temps stick around a while.
OG: You must be - what? - almost halfway through your trips to the Old Toll Bar cafe? :-))
Diane: Saw lots of nasty weather and accidents on the interstate in your neck of the woods on the tele last night.
Hallo to everyone one else, especially Margo
Dibnlib, I guess that notice could be correct in certain places :-(( I did have to smile when I read it though.
Hi Annette, Thanks for the update on Diane's weather. It doesn't sound very good for her, so I hope she is barricaded inside and has plenty of food in store.

Dibnlib, love the doggy notice! I can completely agree.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
