Lots of action at Dunedin today

Looks a beautiful day at Aberfoyle.
Still an empty nest at Tweed Valley.

A blue ringed osprey at Tweed Valley eating a fish on the post!
Oooh I wonder who he is. I think the resident is White SS and his new Missus last year was unringed. Please correct me if I am wrong.

No think you are right Sheila. It's impossible to read the ring, I don't know if they will have better luck reading it from the cam at their end.
A third egg today for Bassenthwaite ospreys.
That is good news, thanks Chrisy
When I was away last week I visited both Loch Doon and Threave.
I visited on Thursday the 14th.
Loch Doon now has a camera on the nest with a screen in the Round House Café. Unfortunately it was not operating when I was there because of some software problems.
I was told by the nice chap who was in the café that it was White CW and another on the nest at that point in time.
Since then the resident pair Angel and Cullen have arrived home on the 15th April I believe.
The nest is on the horizon to the right here.
Not a good photograph but for record purposes showing the pair on the nest @ that time on 14 April.
LINK to Loch Doon Facebook Page with a photo taken from the screen I gather of the resident pair posted on 15th April
It was much nicer weather when I visited last year, so as they say here is one I made earlier LOL.... Just to show how lovely this place is. (In the sunshine) :-)

After the long walk down to the Threave nest, we were met by the usual quagmire to get into the hide. However it is worth it as it is closer (although still a distance) to the nest than the viewing platform, which can get congested when a few people turn up. Plus it is not so good for taking photographs.
Black 80 brought in a bit bark, then faffed around the nest a bit, KC incubated the whole time we were there (around 2 hours)..... He would go from the nest to the tree behind and preen (like ospreys do), then back to the nest again but KC was not for moving from her egg(s) ?
He didn't seem much bothered by some crows that were around.
Here is the mucky scene, so take wellies if you are going to visit within the nest few weeks.

Wonderful photos - thanks Mary. Looks lovely, I must try and visit sometime.
And Threave ... I expected to see a little more of/about them on Countryfile last night. Must admit, I was a little disappointed.
