Lots of action at Dunedin today
Webcam
Maybe they are weather dependent then Karen.
Di did say that there had been other birds around, so maybe you just manage to capture one.
Hopefully if we keep an eye on the webcams all will be revealed by the next few weeks.

Yes it was 2014 Karen when Drunkie had both Katrine and Arklet on the go. I was searching back the threads but only found this post from 2014.
It just shows how nests can change from year to year, look at TV from being a consistently productive nest for many years, the last couple of years have been disastrous for them, although the one chick last year did survive despite the odds, but we never found out what happened to it did we.
Tweed Valley used to have the webcam on 10 till 5, maybe it stops at 4 now.

Maybe it does stop earlier now Starling. I did notice when on full screen it is a much clearer and better quality cam than they had last year, so that is a big bonus.
Mary - thanks for the link about Arklet.
Quick check on Tweed Valley - Cam up at 10:15, no ospreys around.
Just popped in for a short while.
There is an Osprey on the Tweed Valley nest at the moment. It is hard to say if male or female, but I would go with Male. However I don't know if it is an optical illusion but the bird looks small in comparison with the pole and paraphernalia etc LOL..

Mary / Starling - I quickly checked TV around 4.30pm and it was down.
Thanks Karen.
Thanks Karen. That bird stayed quite a while on the nest, looked quite at home. Lets hope it is White SS.
Mary, I know we can't be sure but looking at both our captures, I think it is the same bird. Hopefully TV will update soon.
