HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is HERE.
Saturday evening was perihelion, the time when Earth reaches its closest point to the Sun for this year. Hello, Sun!
I hope everyone has a wonderful first full week of 2016!

Spent the last couple of days packing up & sorting out the Christmas decs. Have a couple of things to give to the charity shop, plus some really old stuff has gone in the bin! Feel better knowing it's been well sorted through, but must admit that a couple of items were not used this year - however, there will be room for them eventually as I have some electrical "glowing" ornaments which must be on their last legs now, they are so old, so when they cease to work I won't replace them.
My OH uncomplainingly lugs the many boxes back under the stairs and jigsaws them into the tiny space. I then hang the plastic bags with excess wrapping paper and flower arrangement material, on the wall, and we're done for another year....phew!
OG - I'm sure you'll find the staff very efficient and friendly, and you'll be in and out fairly quickly. We found that the worst part was the constant travel, but we varied that by having several routes to take, and by sometimes having lunch out on the way, as my OH requested early afternoon appointments - this also allowed those other, younger patients who needed to have first thing appointments so that they could still go to work, to have their choice. He felt no ill effects, by the way, apart from the stress of worrying about parking and travel!!
Will be thinking about you over the next weeks. {HUGS}
I asked for early apps to be able to do stuff...
Friday's were later as early apps for people from the islands getting flights..
Wendy - Six weeks was a long haul. My OH had five sessions a week, for three weeks, but we met many people who had more. But then he also had brachiotherapy.
Lindy I was lucky with parking as they gave me a blue badge for the 6 weeks.
It was all so well organised ..

OG, Very Best Wishes from my OH and myself for tomorrow. We will be thinking of you. X
Yes it is but well organised as they would get very late Monday apps.
They would have to be in hospital accommodation for 4 nights to undergo around 15 mins of treatment a day. Something I would have hated.
I did get a few trips to see the Dolphins before driving home which made me smile.
Lovely, Wendy! - would have made me smile, too :-)
Margo – Sorry you are down. Sending a heap of {{{HUGS}}}
OG – I hope your treatment and travel are not too tiring.
Thank you Linda, Heather, Dibnlib, Rita, Brenda & Annette for your responses on bungalows. I wouldn’t care about “up” to bed but I’m sure I would spend my day wishing something “up there” was “down here” or vice versa! Aussie houses generally were single storey. Nowadays many people are extending their home by going upwards. I notice a house at the end of our street is underway.
Annette – You asked whether I had trips planned. Not in summer. We stay clear of bushfire-likely areas. Our first bus trip is in March, to Robe, not that it will be cool by then <sigh>
