HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is HERE.
Saturday evening was perihelion, the time when Earth reaches its closest point to the Sun for this year. Hello, Sun!
I hope everyone has a wonderful first full week of 2016!

As you can probably tell, I have a touch of the January Blues, but am consoling myself by eating up some of the crisps and nibbles left over from the festivities. A minute on the lips and a month on the hips, LOL!!
Here is a message from Margo:-
" Apprehension setting in again, after the blood test on Sunday shows that HB level is dropping again, as well as platelet count. I will be having a further blood test on Friday after the last chemo jab, and will probably need a transfusion soon after.
Feeling rather nauseous this morning, for some reason, so taking the anti sickness pills I have at home, plus the one they give me each day at the clinic. "
I came back from shopping to find the window cleaner had just finished cleaning our windows. We have had very heavy rain all day. He was dressed in his waterproofs. He uses pure water, which doesn't need drying and works in dry weather, but as the wind and rain is what normally makes the windows dirty, I doubt we are going to notice any difference whenever the rain stops.
The local river is overflowing into the fields and the lanes are flooded. Not pleasant driving.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Our toaster is on the blink so went out to get a new one. We got our toaster in the sale ...... and a new throw for our bed (we were using the old one from before redecoration). we were so pleased with it we went back to get a matching duvet set and then I saw a pyroflam so bought that too. The toaster was from HIS, everything else from Farm and Household which sounds like a very boring shop but which is anything but. We met friends in the shop this morning and had to laugh when we saw them again this afternoon. They had got the wrong size of percolator this morning.
Blimey, Lindy. Another toaster? Have you ever thought of starting a toaster museum?
:-)) Not guilty, Clare!!!
One of my Sale bargain pairs of shoes arrived this morning - they're much too small, which means I'll have to send them back, at my own expense. Ho hum.
Thanks Brenda, for Margo's news. Sorry it's not better.
