HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here.
I am celebrating the return of the light! The Winter Solstice is Monday night/Tuesday morning. The exact time is:
U.K.: 22 December at 4:48 a.m.Eastern U.S.: 21 December at 11:48 p.m.California: 21 December at 8:48 p.m.
Happy Summer Solstice to AQ in Adelaide, Australia (22 December at 3:19 p.m.), although I know you are already in the midst of a sweltering hot summer.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and holidays full of joy and peace!

Happy Christmas AQ! It sounds surreal to us here, to think that it's warm on Christmas Day. Mind you, it's much warmer than usual, here. Only putting the heating on for quick bursts now & then.
Sis in Law came round for a dip into our chocolates, plus a cup of tea. She had been on the road all day distributing cards, presents and goodwill. She took away with her our present, plus some items for her to store away for The Scouts Jumble Sale, which she has always been involved in. We had had quite a clear out: when I heard about OG I thought it was catching!!
Outside it's very bright tonight - The Christmas New Moon which Diane told us about. Hope it's a good omen for the world.
Lindy: The Moon turns full tomorrow at 11:11 a.m. in the U.K. That particular time (11:11) is considered auspicious and a sort of good luck omen by many people here. :-)))
Heather: I'm fine, but thanks for asking! Happy holidays to you.
Oooer! Diane! I shall try & remember to make a wish then.....
Hope your storms have ended now & all is calm. Goodnight.
Happy Christmas to one and all
Good Morning, & Happy Christmas to All. The moon has been very bright, and so it's hardly been properly dark.
Thanks You for your wishes, Liz.
We have just been sitting in bed with a mug of tea, and opened our Christmas stockings: Santa seems to know which are our favourite chocolate treats, and I have a CD of Carole Kings Tapestry, plus some perfume, a Bill Bryson book (A Walk in The Woods), hand cream and a garden trowel!!
My OH has a Suduko book, some DVD's of Andre Rui, some after shave, a Walks in Wales book, and lots of chocolate!!
A very happy Christmas to everyone. It's been particularly heartening to read Margo's posts lately and I'll be drinking to you later with some yummy mixed berry cider!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
A Very Happy Christmas to you ALL.
To All
