Hope all in the storm path have escaped any problems.
Lindybird: Happy viewing!
Diane: El Nino? Hmmm - it seems to have forgotten to stop by here. Seriously, "they" aren't expecting it until the end of December.
All good here today - raked masses of leaves off the parkway (street sweeper due Monday) and must do the garden paths tomorrow (if I can find them!).
Have a good Sunday all.
Annette - The tool my OH wanted was a Jig Saw!! Glad we went to look at them together, as the one he'd mentioned to me originally turned out not to be suitable.... We came home with one, anyway, and I've already wrapped it up in Chr. paper! Apparently, you use them to cut unusual shapes in wood etc. -- if you need to cut a circle, or a funny shape in a worktop to fit in a sink. He's been complaining lately that he hates the worktop and sink we put into our kitchen a couple of years ago! I can see something happening next year.......
More replies from me later......I'm expecting our Eldest again on a flying visit tonight, going back tomorrow.
Annette - poor Peanut! And poor you, it must feel like a field hospital there....
Oh, Heather! Just looked back in case I missed anything....... So sorry, poor Sheana. Life can be cruel sometimes....
She has had no real quality of life for three years since she went into care, LINDY. Not the fault of the Home. I just wish that she could have slipped away peacefully a while ago.
I'll send you a PM, Heather.
LINDY I replied to your message but not sure if I did it correctly :-(
Heather, I don't wish to sound cruel, but I do hope Sheana passes away in her sleep. She is only existing and must be in pain.
I couldn't agree more, BRENDA.
Annette, Nephew's smoke alarms did go off, but his wife had popped round to a neighbour to drop off some shopping. It was the noise of the alarm that made her run back home but the fire had already set alight the wall cupboards in the utility room and burnt through the ceiling to a bedroom above. I am not sure of the extent of the damage, but beside fire damage, the smoke damage is extensive. I gather that their beds and most of their furniture is in the front garden. It is very sad for them, but so glad nobody was at home to be injured. So sorry about Peanut and the trauma you have been dealing with. Poor OH, demoted to third place :-)))
