HAPPY NEW WEEK!
Last week's Chat thread is here. Be sure to check the end of last week's thread for several new posts and a lovely photo from Limpy.
The Full Moon is Wednesday! Everyone have a wonderful week!
Warm start to the day – or maybe it’s the tablets!
Lynette – good to see a post from you. I think plodding is the way to go for many of us, but nice that you have something to look forward to in meeting up with friend soon.
Linda – I hope your halo didn’t make you too careless, suggesting the cousin might return! Don’t be too tempted to buy at the charity event, there are so many such fund-raisers at this time of year.
AQ – sensible for you and friend not to stray beyond the suburbs today. I am sure the coffee and bakes tasted just as good.
Annette – pleased you have some cool breezes! I thought Grandson’s taste-buds would help him decide about real food with you at Thanksgiving! I hope Lightning is pain free, and will soon be feeling more herself – how about the limp? Found out yesterday that where the dentist has gone is wholly private, no NHS, so will stay with the current practice and hope Ben the owner finds me an equally nice replacement. I hope Peanut has forgiven the disturbance to his furniture – I am sure a few lettuce and carrot snacks helped!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Tiler is here!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
I hope you have an enjoyable day.
OG, Great. So pleased for you.
OG - was just wondering about your tiler!
Good morning everyone. OH has gone to the Bowls and I am still feeding the washing machine.
My brother refuses to allow me to put him on a flight from Bristol to Inverness. He must be mad. He leaves Plymouth at 0925 Sunday, for Aberdeen. Then gets the last train from there to Inverness arriving about midnight. He never did do as I told him even when he was a little boy :-((
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all in the US!
OG - glad that your Tiler has arrived.
Well, I hang my head in shame as I took the car after all this morning: it was drizzling that kind of fine drizzle which soaks you through in no time. I put in a contribution to the Charity event, as it is for a local Hospice and I always support them. However, I didn't buy anything, although I ordered our Christmas turkey whilst in the shop.
Also bought some food treats for the family as we are off to visit them on Saturday, for Tomasz's birthday (which is 1st December). Can't wait to hug them all!!
Tiler put in a whole day and is halfway through actual tiling, as planned. He also re-plastered the wall which I had said wasn’t good enough after the plasterer was supposed to have done it – used quick-dry plaster so can continue tiling tomorrow. Nearly time for early dinner ready to go out.
Heather –two weeks away makes double laundry (one of my reasons for short breaks!) Hope OH won at Bowls and came home happy!Sorry your brother is being stubborn about his journey – he obviously likes trains!
Linda – rain arrived here mid-afternoon, but we had seen more of the sun than we dared hope. Yup, our elder Grandson is also another year older next Tuesday – supposed to be visiting his Mum and collecting some of the stuff she is fed up with moving to house to house! Have a good visit at the weekend. Well done with Turkey – I finally decided on Pork for Christmas Day and have a tick-list from our butcher to order a variety of things for the two 4-day holidays.
Don’t know how long gig will go on tonight, may need extra time in bed. Or more likely have to get J up to go to work!
I spoke to Margo for a short tine this afternoon. They are having their new floor laid in the bathroom, which will be completed tomorrow, plus the new carpet for their hall. All needed after their recent leak. She is tired, but was very cheerful and hoping to go out for a meal at the weekend. She sees her Drs. next Tuesday.
Great to speak to you, Margo X
