Another day of watching Odin and EJ at Loch Garten. There certainly are a rich store of captures available from this season.
Had the eggs at Loch Garten been allowed to hatch it seems likely that there would have been three rapidly growing chicks in the nest by now.
However Loch Garten history is proving useful elsewhere. At Glaslyn the female is incubating what are a sixth and a seventh egg. Now no one really knows how eggs like these will behave as it is such a rare happening. However in 2007 EJ laid seven eggs (4 + 3). The thing was that the second clutch hatched very early at 34 days. Now will the Glaslyn eggs behave similarly? Well we have not got long to wait. We may know by the weekend.

Pretty much the same, Limpy. My eye gets very dry so have to manually close my lid. Going to get some fake tears tomorrow. Thanks for asking.
EDIT. Just read that back and I sound like a right miserable so and so. I'm ok, just a dribbling fool that can't blink, :D

Odin's on the nest!!!! with a lichen covered stick.
And flown
Hi all! What a quiet nest-afternoon it's been. I expect it's all happening on the Love and other trees - non-stop preening! Thanks for all the pics, MOFFER.
IMAGICAT

Just a blur far side of the nest

I love this light on the nest. Shame there's not an Osprey or two on there.
I can hear an Osprey close to the nest. Soft chirps, maybe on the cam post
Night cam has come on at 22:48.
And all has gone quiet

I bet as soon as I've gone someone will appear.
