Another day of watching Odin and EJ at Loch Garten. There certainly are a rich store of captures available from this season.
Had the eggs at Loch Garten been allowed to hatch it seems likely that there would have been three rapidly growing chicks in the nest by now.
However Loch Garten history is proving useful elsewhere. At Glaslyn the female is incubating what are a sixth and a seventh egg. Now no one really knows how eggs like these will behave as it is such a rare happening. However in 2007 EJ laid seven eggs (4 + 3). The thing was that the second clutch hatched very early at 34 days. Now will the Glaslyn eggs behave similarly? Well we have not got long to wait. We may know by the weekend.

Distant alarm calls from Odin
Hi everyone ... thanks for all the updates and captures.
Moffer ... good to see you! I too wont nag LOL but do please take it easy :-)
The intruder(s) are just not giving up!! Poor Odin. I wonder if it is Blue 65 or maybe the other ringed bird which I don't think yet has been identified. Hopefully the VC got a clear view and confirm later. Brief visit as busy but BBL
