It is a huge privilege to start this new thread, especially after a day like yesterday.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother, father, all ospreys worldwide and Tiger for drawing in his claws and stepping back.
I wish us all a less confused day of watching and attempting to interpret, and EJ and Odin the very best luck in the world in their defence of the most famous Osprey nest in the world.
Greetings all fellow 'midnighters'.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Morning everyone. Lets hope we get a relatively peaceful day with fish Odin and EJ exclusively - some hope???? I'd like to get around to a painting I want to start but I'm so distracted by our lovely osprey. Another nest post was a good idea, then we could have two pairs to watch !!!!! the spares could couple up!!
Good morning everyone!
Thank you CRInger for starting the new thread - your intro really made me smile when I read it!
EJ is certainly not receptive to mating attempts as she still appears to be in incubating mode. Maybe Odin needs to remove all remaining traces of egg shell from the nest for her to be able to move on?

Sounds like EJ can see someone eating fish.

Good morning, Vivienne and Chocoholix! EJ is calling - possibly for fish but she sounds a bit alarmed to me.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
EJ sounds very agitated
Morning all newcomers (this morning, you know what I mean!).
I really thought a fish was on the way then, and got locked out in Chrome so I hope this will post in FF.
IMAGICAT
Hi, Scylla the Magnificent.
I'm sure that she can see a fish.
The only question is, who has the fish?
EJ has moved into her 3 o'clock fish watching position, so I also thought that maybe Odin or AN Other is nearby with breakfast.
Her occasional calls do sound a little anxious, I agree...
