It is a huge privilege to start this new thread, especially after a day like yesterday.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mother, father, all ospreys worldwide and Tiger for drawing in his claws and stepping back.
I wish us all a less confused day of watching and attempting to interpret, and EJ and Odin the very best luck in the world in their defence of the most famous Osprey nest in the world.
Greetings all fellow 'midnighters'.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
Break time - flyaway lost in freeze, here's the return:
Some anxious-sounding chirps, then a familiar and beloved sight:
Now she's fish-soliciting, by the sound of it.
(I can't type this morning, continually back-spacing to correct, may lose my rag or burst into tears soon.)

I have a suggestion. Think it has been previously christened the Scargill suggestion. Suggest to your son a detour via Loch Garten. Put your case strongly and then he will think a compromise of Dyfi is a breeze! :-)

That Scargill chap must have been no fool :o (Pity I'm too young to remember him, she lied ;-) )
That's certainly an unmistakeable food soliciting call. EJ can see a male osprey out there somewhere, even if we can't. Possible skydance time shortly??

You are so selfless, CC, showing me by example that it is OKAY! ;-D
Raindrops started just as a few early birds burst into song before having their spirits dampened. I'll have to leave you guys to finding out if he returns again this morning, and if so, with fish.
