She has started calling again
EJ is looking up and food calling
Birdie Num Num's brilliant DU summary 2017
If EJ does abandon her eggs and go fishing for herself. Will she go AWOL and try to return eventually /return ASAP, or will she just go AWOL. I know none of us know the answer, but it is something I have been thinking about.
EJ continues to give weak pathetic food calls :(
Will the embryos be at a stage where if fertile eggs EJ will hear them. I suppose in her mind she wants it all. She's worked hard to get to here so will not give up lightly and if she thinks she can get a fish be better means that going herself she will

I'm beginning to worry that she may stick it out until her bitter end. I couldn't bear that.
If she leaves the eggs they could get predated or chill enough to kill them. I think that she may fish and come straight back, but that's only my view. We have no way of knowing.
The only way OC will redeem himself in my eyes, is if he brings her a fish and accepts the eggs. I know that this is VERY unlikely, and sounds a bit "Disney"
The last few days have been torture to watch. I still hope for a happy ending.
New blog haven't read it yet
I think she will abandon the eggs later today - she must know now that she has no support for her or her chicks, even if they had hatched. She must also realise that this will leave the nest unprotected, and she could find another female osprey in residence when she returns from fishing. Which could mean starting elsewhere all over again, or having to fight for "her" nest back. She's not a quitter, we know that, but she must be considering her options now.
So she ate Wednesday he must have brought the fish back and it was missed in the recordings.
