WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY MAY 3, 2015

Hallo all

Check out last week's thread for holiday shots from Lindybird and funnies from dibnlib.

That was a large baby (by today's standards). Anyone remember how much George weighed? I see Alice and Charlotte are the top name choices - both are pretty. I'm waiting for the call asking my opinion! :-)

Lindybird: That's a lovely beach.

dibnlib: Good for you standing up for yourself re your work hours. Hope it brings a positive change - regardless. Love the rear of that wine truck. :-)

Heather: A shame about your dinner. Hope the guest of honor enjoyed his.

Guy came this morning and tree and plants are now nicely tucked up in the soil. He told me his crew is available for half-day jobs (trimming, etc.), which I'll certainly keep in mind.  Off to daughter's to pick up the guinea pig tomorrow morning; then home for appointment with possible house painter.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

  • Good Morning Everyone.

What lovely cheerful photographs this morning, especially when there is such bad news at LG.

Heather, If we don't hear from you, I hope you are feeling much better and do have a great holiday.

Thanks for the photograph of King. Annette. He really looks a lovely dog.

Clare, Thanks for the description of the sex life of a cockatiel. LOL

I guess OG and EE are now on the road to Manchester. Hope they have a good drive , without any traffic jams.

Lovely to have a morning without rain and gales.

  • Gorgeous pics Lindy. Heather hope you are feeling a little better and are able to enjoy your break. Take care all.
  • Just been to vote. We have District Council and General election. We had to queue, it really was busy.

Margo, Good to see you feel able to post. I hope, I can picture you sitting in the conservatory, with Billie, in the sunshine.

OH playing bowls again, so we have to have an early lunch.

  • Been to vote with lady P. Quite busy at polling station. I got a nice email from Ed Miliband last night thanking me for all my efforts on his behalf (mostly on social media).

  • I was happy to see a post from Margo, too. {HUGS} to you, my dear. Been out in the drizzle and got my errands done: had to wait so long in the Dentists I began to worry that I'd only paid for an hour in the s'market car park which is nearby, however I got both things done in the end, by the skin of my teeth - which seems appropriate ;-D
  • Went to vote, and remarked to the officials that maybe the weather would put people off turning out, but they assured me it wasn't. However, will be extremely glad when this election is over, done and dusted.......
  • Linda, It really is a headache when you have to watch the clock for your car parking. We get the first hour repaid by Waitrose when we spend over £15 at the store. I noticed yesterday that they had two traffic wardens checking all the car tickets and quite a few had the parking fines stuck under their windscreen wipers.
Glad all was well with the dentist.

  • Alan whilst everybody is entitled to their political views, I continue to find the script on your signature slightly offensive and should the situation not go your desired way I hope I am not going to have to endure 4 years of it.   I was always taught that views on politics and religion are best kept to oneself on public forums.

  • We have a supermarket where you get back whatever you have paid, as long as you spend more than two pounds in there, which is not difficult. The worst part of the dentists was the receptionist asking me for my mobile number so that they can text me reminders in the future......it took me ages to find out what mine was even though I've had the phone for a number of years :-D. I never know it, of course, far too long to remember!
