In order to help Scylla to reply to Peter at Carnyx it would be useful if posters could indicate their preference as follows:
If as many people as possible could indicate which option they think better that would be very helpful. Many Thanks

I have texted Carnyx.
IMAGICAT
This morning I took my courage in both hands and sent Carnyx a reminder about setting the cam on the higher-quality Option 2. In no time I got this reply:
I did as you asked but may have forgotten to email you and let you know. So to confirm we are on option 2 – higher quality and lower frame rate (although it may not appear so!)
It looks as though we have nowhere to turn :-(
Brave Scylla! Looks as is there will be no improvement until Broadband upgraded for LG area!

Thank you for all your efforts. I know the problems re the distance; I know LG well, however the camera is actually worse this year than in previous years I think.
We had blurring on any movement last year from the time in April when the new cam was installed, but they didn't try the HQ option back then.
We could go back now to blurring in place of some of the freezes we're getting now, if I understand correctly. But apparently what brought on this change to HQ in the first place was the broadband performance deemed to have taken a dive.
No-win situation really, but many thanks Scylla for all your efforts to get the best (or should it be least bad) solution.
The constant freezes are actually proving to be quite a pain, aren't they, but I imagine if we revert to the other option, the picture quality will be virtually unwatchable.
I'm starting a new thread for another vote, so that people don't see this thread 'bumped' and think they don't need to look at it.
