Hallo all! Hope you all have a peaceful and pleasant Easter.
Hello - I'm back home and rushing around, sorting everything out. Been back a couple of hours, but its taken me until now to get online to write this.
When away, I had such a time trying to get on the Internet that I mistakenly broke my connection with my own hub back home, so now I have to sort out my tablet pc before I can use it again....{sigh}
Morning all:
Trish: Great to see you and congrats to Mia (thanks OG for reminding me of her name!) on all those agility awards.
Heather: Good to read that Amy is doing better.
Brenda: What a chore! How often do folks have to cart the crockery home to wash it? I assume they have some facilities at the club for weekly meetings, etc.? Brilliant that you had help.
OG: Would love to know what constitutes a "scorcher." What's with J I wonder? Maybe he'd be okay at home for a few days? Maybe he's planning a big party while you're gone? :-)
Lindybird; Welcome back and hope you get connected again without too much hassle.
Short interval there, whilst I took a puppy out of her bed, which she had decided to turn inside out to look for a toy which was behind her.......
Many many many Thanks to Brenda, who has been a Good Egg once again and kept texting me to tell me of the latest developments at LG. I could not be more thrilled to read that dear EJ is back upon her nest once more and that now, happiness!! Odin the Magnificent has also arrived to claim her and the nest. What a wonderful pair they are, and what a thrilling season of osprey watching we will now have once again this year. :-))
Thanks Annette. I expect if I spend some time on it I will fathom what I have to do. Of course, it always involves the dreaded word "Password" which I have been trying to sort out since getting this new desktop pc, as I had got into a muddle with so many of them, and renewed some of them and then lost them again......and my dear Eldest put me on a Site which remembers your Passwords, all in one place. Of course, the one I need to connect the tablet to the hub is not on there......ha ha!
Sorry to hear that J is not too good, OG. Hope he recovers and you can all enjoy your trip.
I shall try to read back some of what I've missed later on this evening, but I also have to deal with the 156 emails I have in my inbox..... most of which are just sales junk. Just seen a nice pic sent from an old friend of mine who is also a recent grandma, with her son and his newborn, aaaaah!!
Hi Linda, You should just need the wireless key code, which is often printed on a label on your hub or on a card, given with your hub to connect to your Tablet.
Welcome home LINDY! I hope that you get your tablet connection sorted.
OG- I'm happy that you will be able to travel north. You must have been very concerned about J to think about cancelling your trip. Glad that his queasiness is settling down.
BRENDA and OG- I am constantly amazed by my OH. He is a complete wimp when it comes to health issues but has such determination when it comes to outside work. Today he tossed three sacks of compost into the car boot (I wasn't there). He bought some slabs which the guy put into the boot. I helped get them out. He then proceeded to cut out turfs, riddle earth, sand the spaces and lay a few slabs. I was watching anxiously but he refused any help. I cannot think that there is very much wrong with him and await the results of his tests. He is now stretched out on recliner chair, gentle snores :-))
HEATHER - he managed a whole (if small) meal this evening and seems a bit less lethargic now, with his energy returning. So we should definitely meet up with you as planned - we still have your OH's mobile number if we are prevented, but looking forward to seeing you.
Now must dry dishes I have already washed while OH does "man-things"! Will be back Monday night, but might manage contact while away, depending on broadband connections!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Have a lovely time, OG. Sounds as if J should feel fine after a good night's sleep. I hope so.
Heather, Sounds as if your OH deserves to be snoring in the reclining chair. From what you have told us, over the years, your husband needs to be involved and prefers to keep himself occupied. Probably what keeps him young. I don't see you being able to stop him, even if you do worry at times. X
Enjoy your break OG and do hope you manage meeting up with Heather. You lucky guys up there in Scotland, some of you close to where the ospreys are. Unfortunately we won't be making it up there again as OH feels the drive is too long for him now. Still we have the live cams which makes for tense and fun watching.
Managed to get the downstairs loo painted today and OH has done the walls in the small inner lobby which means I will start on the woodwork pm tomorrow or Fri. morning. It entails 3 doors and all their frames, whew. Still it will look nice and fresh and clean when finished.
OG - pleased to hear that J is picking up.
