Happy Easter all!

OK. So EJ and Odin safely at LG, but what has happened to the LOTL cam. Haven't been able to get anything. It looks like it's going to load okay, then you get just a black screen.  Let's hope they get it sorted soon. Margobird said they'd had horrible weather there yesterday, so maybe that knocked out something.

Well, I missed Odin's arrival but thanks to BigRab, there's a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EoYaRO6js which I plan to watch myself in a minute.

Busy day here, also amazed to see Trucker cam is now in Albuquerque - boy! does that guy ever cover ground. So I really have to follow him tomorrow (along with you-know-who) because I've driven that road and just love the huge wide horizons. But it's also Easter, so a bit of family stuff going on. Bought some lovely strawberries from the farm down the road and then went to supermarket and bought some naughty cheese (fattening double cream French Brie), mushrooms stuffed with all kinds of yummy stuff and simply couldn't turn down Haagen Dazs's invite to try - "at special introduction price" - new Java Chip flavor with coffee and chocolate chips. Was at Costco earlier and got some great asparagus and Wild Alaska Halibut. So we had a nice dinner, but ice cream still unopened - for now.

  • Good morning all trying to catch up with all the chat as things are getting back to normal here as BiL is now home therefore don't have to go hospital visiting every day. Everything is starting to happen now and it is getting that you need more than one pair of eyes to keep a lookout on all the webcams to see who is doing what. I would like to thank all who have posted the pictures of the ospreys at the different nests and all who have posted links to different sites where I am able to expand my knowledge of things I would not normally think about. The weather here is quite pleasant and the birds are still coming to the feeders and I have a blackbird who dos'nt wait till I finish putting out the seed and comes to get get his breakfast before any of the other birds venture to the bird table. Hope everyone is keeping well

  • Good morning george P glad to hear BiL is now home and things are getting back to normal for you.  Weather here very nice and lots of birds coming in for worms and suet pellets.  I have a pair of blackbirds who are not nesting in the garden but come regularly for food and woe betide any other blackbird that tries to come and snaffle food.

  • Hello george g:   Pleased to hear you have less travelling to do every day now. Hope your b.in law is improving.  If you keep encouraging your blackbird, he may even feed out of your hand eventually, this happened to my Uncle, although it took some time- the bird now waits outside the kitchen door every morning for a treat.

Margobird:   Glad you enjoy the little ditties about the ospreys.  Hope the weather is improved down there: I know you had rain when we were a bit drier at the beginning of this week.

Had to laugh to myself, as laying in bed with a cup of tea (!)  I looked across the room to where there is a plastic bag from Thorntons, the chocolate makers, I have used for putting some papers in.  On the front there is printed a slogan "Thorntons - Chocolate Heaven Since 1911"  but the bag is crumpled and now it reads:   "Thorntons - Chocolate Sin"  .....

  • Lincybird that is a very apt description of chocolate lol.

  • Lovely pic of the Goldfinch, Alan.

  • Must go and do some other stuff now that the webcam is down:  perhaps its trying to tell me to do the housework!

  • HI Lindybird,

I understand what you mean about Joey helping you through the bad times. Cappuccino did that for me. He used to be very quiet until we got Sydney. Now Sydney is leading him astray and they get up to all kinds of noisy mischief.
