Happy Easter all!
OK. So EJ and Odin safely at LG, but what has happened to the LOTL cam. Haven't been able to get anything. It looks like it's going to load okay, then you get just a black screen. Let's hope they get it sorted soon. Margobird said they'd had horrible weather there yesterday, so maybe that knocked out something.
Well, I missed Odin's arrival but thanks to BigRab, there's a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EoYaRO6js which I plan to watch myself in a minute.
Busy day here, also amazed to see Trucker cam is now in Albuquerque - boy! does that guy ever cover ground. So I really have to follow him tomorrow (along with you-know-who) because I've driven that road and just love the huge wide horizons. But it's also Easter, so a bit of family stuff going on. Bought some lovely strawberries from the farm down the road and then went to supermarket and bought some naughty cheese (fattening double cream French Brie), mushrooms stuffed with all kinds of yummy stuff and simply couldn't turn down Haagen Dazs's invite to try - "at special introduction price" - new Java Chip flavor with coffee and chocolate chips. Was at Costco earlier and got some great asparagus and Wild Alaska Halibut. So we had a nice dinner, but ice cream still unopened - for now.

Hi Annette, I have just tried to send you a message on your page and I had no trouble.
Brenda: Got it. Thanks so much - I sent one back to your page and didn't have the same problem this time. Maybe just a temporary glitch when I tried before. Again, thanks!
ANNETTE some years ago OH and I landed at Edinburgh Airport. The pilot made his usual welcome speach which became most unusual as he then informed us that this was his co pilots last flight in the UK as he was off to the states to fly the shuttle. You can imagine the awed silence followed by a huge round of applause. The captain did say he was extremely jealous
Annette Great to hear that you saw the ISS. Yes you did see the shuttle but unfortunately by the time you saw it, it was docked with the ISS. The docking took place at about 12.44am your time. They must have had a problem as for only the second time in ten years they docked without radar.
Cirrus That ball of fluff has the potential to grow into FOUR full size peregrines.
Alan Thank you so much for that great video of Appio, Vergine and the chicks. So sweet.
dibnlib He could not have meant flying one of these could he? See http://www.nasa.gov/images/content/181826main_image_feature_863_ys_full.jpg

TIGER not sure to be honest. The aanouncement just said that the 2nd was off to fly the shuttle. Know no more. Must check with OH when he comes in
Thanks to all for pics and links. I've popped in and out today, as a busy sort of day.
Here is a pic of my camellia, which is now at its best:
- its near my kitchen window, which is lovely as it cheers me to think that Spring has begun properly now.
Saw a bit about the Peregrine nest at Beeston Castle, Cheshire where there are I think 3 chicks now, last night on the Northwest News. Volunteers are making a round the clock vigil as sometimes the nest is plundered (by humans) for the eggs. No webcam of this, but you can read about it if you Google "Peregrines, Beeston Castle" and go to the 1st site on the list.
Great pics of LG, AQ, but Wattle is correct, the camera on the right is the tree camera and the one we are watching now is on the same tree sticking up to the left of the nest.
Edit: hazelwoods beat me to it : ))
Well done Tweed (and patriciat)
Beautiful camellia, Lindybird, and so big!
Annette, congrats on your sky-watching, does it ever come over north of England? (Tiger?)
Terry in Cumbria
Lovely camellia Linda. I was admiring my neighbours camellia today, which is weighed down with the weight of the flowers. Your's seems to be the same. Thank you.
Lindybird : I take it you have acid soil. We cant grow camellias here because they are lime haters.
